How to Submit Books

Submissions for the 2013 awards are now open to publishers.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Authors of submitted books should be Scottish or resident in Scotland, but books of particular Scottish interest by other authors are eligible for consideration.
• Books published in the United Kingdom for the first time between January and December 2012 can be considered.
• Experienced, practising publishers are eligible to submit titles on behalf of their authors.  Reprints, books which substantially consist of previously-published material, co-authored works, anthologies, technical or scientific books, and books that are highly specialised will not be considered.
• Writers may not submit entries.
• Members of the public may not nominate books.
• Posthumous awards cannot be made.
• The closing date for submissions is 31st December, 2012 but to allow our judges the maximum time for reading, we would appreciate it if you could send titles in as soon as possible.
